The 2013 raffle quilt measures 72” x 78”. The quilt features the paper piecing technique in a spectacular design. Sharon Bourcey, along with Marsha Hanson, Mary Belcourt, Adele Spicer and Peggy Meyer, pieced the quilt and Stephanie Lacher quilted it.
Tickets are $1.00 each and can be purchased from Guild members or Deb Dawson from African Soul, American Heart. The quilt will be on display and tickets will be sold at the Fargo Civic Center during the Indian Summer Quilt Show.
Proceeds from the raffle will benefit African Soul, American Heart and Quilters’ Guild of North Dakota. The drawing will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Doublewood Inn in Fargo.
Standing Tall is 80″ by 80″.
Drawing was held at our annual Holiday Luncheon, November 17.
Every year, members put together a quilt to be raffled. The first year, there were actually two quilts made!
QGND works with a partner organization for the raffle. Some past partners have been the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center, the YWCA of Fargo Moorhead, and the Cass County Historical Society (Bonanzaville).
This joint venture benefits both organizations. If your organization is interested, you can read the terms and conditions here.
