Raffle quilts

JoAnn Watson, Grand Forks, won the large star raffle quilt in 2021. The small quilt went to  Lynne Penny, Woodstock, NH.

2021 Raffle Quilts are Ready

The large one is Scant-dinavian Star, 88″ x 96,” the mini is Nordic Ice.

Sales opportunites are quite limited this year, so all members have received tickets in the mail. Please sell and return the money and stubs to QGND RAFFLE TICKETS, PO Box 2662, Fargo ND 58018.

The drawing will be held November 20, 2021.

We are compiling a list of members we can call on to sell tickets around town, as the opportunity arises. To volunteer, contact Muriel (Muriel@murielrichardson.com) or Mary (Belcourtmary@gmail.com).

The winners of the 2018 raffle quilts have been announced:
The large quilt was won by Jan Lewis, Fargo.
The Modern Mini now belongs to Audrey Tovson of Detroit Lakes.

 Carol Dressler from Waseca MN won the queen size quilt and Tina Ostopowicz won the wall quilt


Member Emily Kulland is the winner of Courthouse Gardens!

Courthouse Gardens is the first prize in our 2015 quilt raffle, which will jointly benefit QGND and The Arts Partnership
pieced by Betty Markee, quilted by Connie Rodman.

2014 raffle quilt with proud new owner


The 2013 raffle quilt measured 72” x 78” and featured the paper piecing technique in a spectacular design. Sharon Bourcey, along with Marsha Hanson, Mary Belcourt, Adele Spicer and Peggy Meyer, pieced the quilt and Stephanie Lacher quilted it.
Proceeds from the raffle benefit African Soul, American Heart and Quilters’ Guild of North Dakota.

Standing Tall is 80″ by 80″.

Drawing was held at our annual Holiday Luncheon, November 17.

Every year, members put together a quilt to be raffled. The first year, there were actually two quilts made!

QGND works with a partner organization for the raffle. Some past partners have been the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center, the YWCA of Fargo Moorhead, and the Cass County Historical Society (Bonanzaville).

This joint venture benefits both organizations.
